Our Diversity Steering Committee, chaired by the SLF U.S. President, oversees a wide variety of initiatives aimed at supporting the needs of our employee population, as well as our customers. At Sun Life Financial, we are committed to serving the diverse needs of the communities in which we work and live through charitable giving and employee volunteer programs. Our ERGs organize opportunities built around professional development, community relations and internal diversity efforts. Additionally, ERGs conduct awareness-driven company-wide events and participate in recruitment efforts, multicultural marketing and the selection of organizations to support through our Community Relations Program. We primarily support health-focused organizations and additionally provide support for social services, education and arts, and cultural organizations. Our programs offer the opportunity for every employee to be involved with fundraising efforts for select organizations in the community, volunteer their time, and make personal donations to the numerous non-profit organizations that we support.
